Greetings oh Santa my Santa, I’m Robin.
I started writing here late July with the goal of writing one piece per weekend, and so far I’ve missed two weeks, but compensated by writing two articles some weeks. Good job me.
I’m honestly a little surprised and proud of myself for still being here, but that’s beside the point.
Anyway, as I am Swedish, I hate asking for things. It goes against my very nature. This makes wishlists REALLY hard for me, so I’m going to try to give you an idea of who I am and what I like instead, and we’ll see if that’s enough. Otherwise I suppose I’ll get an
angry moderately annoyed message from GBD/Zarynx.
We’ll cross that bridge when we get there.
So who am I, really?
I’m a professional engineer (read: problemsolver), who is currently attempting to transition over to working in the games industry. Exactly what I want to do in the industry I’m not really sure of. It has more to do with immersing myself in my passion and contributing to something I really care about than the specific tasks.
My spare time is split between playing games, learning about game development, writing these articles and scouring public sales websites for deals on video game artbooks and memoriabilia.
I’m also a long-time (but somewhat disillusioned) anime fan. Some of my favourite series are Gundan Wing, FLCL, Rumbling Hearts, Haibane Renmei, RahXephon, Witch Hunter Robin, Ergo Proxy, .Hack, Kino’s Journey, Steins;Gate etc etc. More recently, I’ve enjoyed Psycho-Pass, Knights of Sidonia, Megalo Box, and of course JoJo. Anime is becoming harder and harder for me to watch though, as I have a fairly difficult time enjoying series with too much fanservice. I’m this close to dropping Goblin Slayer because of it, per example. My no1 anime of all time is Redline.
I collect Steelbooks, Artbooks and other high-quality memorabilia from games that I really like. A few of my prize possessions are the Bloodborne steelbook, the Xenoblade Chronicles X steelbook and artbook, the Persona 5 steelbook and the Path of Exile artbook. I’m still looking for the artbook that comes with the P5 collectors edition.
- Monster Hunter
- Mass Effect
- Dragon Age
- Silent Hill (F)
- Hollow Knight
- I have to stop now before this list gets too long.
- In short, Metroidvanias and JRPGS. Or just good games in general.
My currently hooked up consoles are: NES, N64, Wii, WiiU, Switch, PS3, PS4, Xbox, Xbox360, XboxOne.
My clothes size is european male XS (yes I’m sort of tiny). I’m not really a fan of printed t-shirts or brand clothes in general though. I dress kind of preppy. I have been looking for subtle ways to express my games interest in the way I dress though, through accessories or things like that. The kind of thing you can wear that only people who know what it is will recognize it, without it looking out of place. I’ve been struggling with this for a while.
I’m not sure what else to write. I’m sorry for being a bit complicated, but I hope I’m not too vague. Thankyousorrysorrythankyou.
